6.0 RECOMMENDATIONS

6.1 Recommendations based on the finding

The following are several recommendations based on the findings and conclusions of the study:

1) The parents should control and aware the movement of the teenagers to prevent them from doing something especially involved in drug addiction.

2) Parents also should not give fully trusted to their children especially teenagers in doing certain things.

3) The peers should encourage the circle of friends to involve in many activities such as sport activities so that it will avoid them involved in any social problems.

4) The society should aggressively promote and develop new activities such as PROSTAR CLUB and give fully support to the teenagers upon the completion of treatment.

5) The government also should provide the strict rules and regulations, restrict the procedure for the import and export goods in the country, so that the crimes activities such as supplying drugs can be avoided.

6) The teenagers should be more aware with the environmental issues happened, so that it can prevent them to involve in drug addiction. They require involving in the social activities which have been held by the government and non government organizations.

7) The rehabilitation centre has to restrict the rules and regulations for the visitors who want to enter the rehabilitation centre in order to prevent any unexpected materials bring by them such as drug.

8) The rehabilitation centre also ought to provide more activities to the dweller to encourage them involved in the social activities upon the treatments in order to make them not to feel bored such as organize activities regarding to the plantation.

6.2 Recommendations for future research

Since this study had only focused on Pusat Serenti Tiang Dua, Malacca, it is recommended that further studies be carried out on dweller from other rehabilitation centre to see whether there are any similarities in the findings about the reasons male teenagers involved in drug addiction. The researchers also recommended that the further studies be carried out emphasize on the effect by using drugs to the teenagers and others. Furthermore, further research could also explore the effectiveness of the programs which has been done in the rehabilitation centre to the dwellers.
